ENGAGING DISCIPLESHIP
AMERICA FOR CHRIST OFFERING
Dear Friends,
The America for Christ (AFC) 2012 theme is Engaging Discipleship : Open My Eyes, My Heart, My Hands. This theme is a powerful reminder that we have been sent into the world (Matthew 28) to be ambassadors of God’s love, expressed through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The primary rule of engagement is “love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:39).
We can ignore this calling and get busy doing church by singing hymns, listening to sermons, giving our tithes and offerings, getting involved in the choir or joining a committee.
These activities may make us feel spiritually good, but God is calling our church to daily follow the incarnational practice modeled by our Lord, who continually engaged people and cultivated relationship.
I am asking you to join me in giving generously to this year’s America for Christ offering and help us reach our goal of $400 in support of making a difference in the lives of others for the cause of Christ.

Child Evangelism Fellowship
Our Child Evangelism Fellowship Program began February 15th in the Eugene Field School Cafeteria. This
4-week Session will end on March 7th. This gives us an opportunity to share the Easter story with the children. On our first day we had 27 children that had permission slips to attend! Isn’t that a praise to God? (!) Our volunteers for this outreach are: Beverly Davis, Donna Peterson, Laurie Lyon, Cheryl Scott, Pat Skinner, Harry Brawl, and Pastor Janet. If you would like to volunteer, please speak to Pastor. We need you!

A Glass Of Milk One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. He said ... "Then I thank you from my heart." |
Thank You
